The Castle Knights have a very busy weekend coming up. Here is an overview of what is on tap for the Knights.
Boys Tennis – Ethan White and Kunhai Shah won the Individual Regional this past weekend which earned them the right to play in the IHSAA State Finals in Indianapolis. These two have a record of 12-3 together and will take on a duo from Zionsville in Friday’s first round matchup. If the Knights are victorious, they will advance to the Semifinals on Saturday morning with the Finals slated for Saturday afternoon.

Times: 1st Round – 2pm EST Friday; 2nd Round – 10am EST Saturday; Finals – 2pm EST; Saturday
Admission: $5 per person per day
Volleyball – The Castle Lady Knights extended their own IHSAA record by capturing their 26th consecutive Sectional Championship and is now tied with Jasper for the all-time lead with 38 Sectional titles. Castle will look to avenge the 5-set loss in last year’s Regional Championship against #3 Providence. The other semifinal has Center Grove vs. Columbus East.

Admission: $8/session or $10 for all day
Cross Country – The boys and girls cross country teams will both be well represented at the Semistate on Saturday. The boys team has won 3 weeks in a row (SIAC, Sectional, Regional) and looks to add it’s first Semistate title in school history. The Lady Knights team advances 3 individuals to the Semistate who will also look to punch their ticket to the State Finals the following weekend in Terre Haute.

Times: Boys Race – 11:30 EST; Girls Race – 12:15 EST
Girls Soccer – The Lady Knights return to the Semistate for the first time since 2015 and will try to advance to the IHSAA Soccer State Finals for the first time in school history. The Lady Knights, ranked #5, have already defeated #4 Memorial (who beat #20 Reitz in Sectional Quarterfinal) and #8 Center Grove (who beat #12 Bloomington South in Regional Semifinal) and will now look to defeat #1 Carmel. Come out early and support other SIAC teams as the Mater Dei girls take on South Dearborn at 1pm and the Memorial boys play Guerin Catholic at 3pm.
