Volleyball All-Conference

Castle dominated the All-SIAC teams taking 4 of the 13 spots after winning the SIAC and 21st consecutive Sectional Championship in 2014. Senior Rebecca Nunge was named 1st team All-SIAC while Seniors Micaela McMichen and Elizabeth Clark and Junior Madison Snyder were all named to the 2nd team.

Nunge named All-American

Castle High School Senior Rebecca Nunge has been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) 3rd team All-American team.  Nunge is the first Castle Volleyball player to receive All-American status.  She will be continuing her career next fall at Notre Dame.  

XC All-Star Team

Quentin Pierce has been named to the Indiana All-Star Cross Country team.  He will compete in the Mid-East All-Star Cross Country Meet in Kettering, OH on November 15th.  He is one of 12 high school runners to represent the state of Indiana in this meet!  He’s continuing to be a great representative of Castle High


The votes are in for the 2014 All-SIAC Soccer Teams.  Castle had 7 player selected to the teams. Cross Country State Championships

On Saturday, November 1st, Castle High School sent two athletes to compete in the IHSAA Cross Country State Championships at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, IN. Lady Knights Shock the State

The Castle soccer Lady Knights shocked the state in class 2A this postseason. Castle had been the underdog in each match they played in this postseason, but that didn’t stop them from winning the sectional, regional and winning the first game of the semi-state. Last year, Castle was the team to beat all season long

Volleyball Sectional Champions

Saturday October 26, 2014 was a record setting day for the Lady Knights Volleyball team. In the 12pm session, Castle defeated Reitz 25-20, 25-16, 25-12. In the Championship match against Evansville Central, the Lady Knights won 26-24, 25-10, 22-25, 25-12 to clinch their 21st consecutive Sectional Championship.  With this victory, Castle now holds the IHSAA

Volleyball Sectional

On Saturday 10/25 the Lady Knights volleyball team will travel to Evansville Harrison to play in the IHSAA Volleyball Sectional.  The Knights will take on Evansville Reitz at 10am in the Semifinals.  The finals are scheduled for 7pm.  The winner of the Castle/Reitz match will take on the winner from the 10am game between Evansville

Football Sectional

Castle will take on the Terre Haute South Braves on Halloween Night 10/31 in the 1st round of the 2014 IHSAA Football Tournament.  Game time will be 6:30 CST.  Gates will open at 5pm.  No passes are honored at postseason games.  ALL tickets are $6.  Pre-sale tickets will be available in the office Thursday 10/29

Cross Country Regionals

The girls cross country team finished 4th at the Regional at Pride’s Creek at Pike Central.  They will advance as a team to Saturday’s Semi-State at Brown County. On the boys side, Quentin Pierce won the regional and will also advance to the semi-state.
