This weekend the Knights of Castle High School competed in the 2018 Boys High School State Swimming and Diving Championship. Castle finished 11th overall while scoring 64 points at the meet. Castle competed well across the board. The 200 Medley Relay consisting of Montgomery, Eisenhut, Rollins and Titzer finished 10th while the 400 Free Relay of Titzer, Hass, Montgomery and Rollins finished 10th as well. Individually, every guy participating at state this weekend swam two individual events. Senior Alex Montgomery came away with a 6th place finish in the 500 Free and a 21st finish in the 100 back, while fellow Senior Landon Eisenhut ended the weekend with at 15th place finish in the 200 IM and a 17th place finish in the 100 breast. Junior Robert Hass came away with a 9th place finish in the 200 free and a 24th place finish in the 100 free while fellow Junior Sam Titzer came away with a 14th place finish in the 100 free and a 28th place finish in the 100 breast. To round out the individual events, Freshman Braden Rollins ended the weekend for the knights with a 9th place finish in the 100 fly and a 27th place finish in the 50 free. The coaching staff is pleased with a fast weekend and season of swimming and are already looking forward to next season! Go Knights!
