This weekend the Lady Knights of Castle High School competed in the 2018 Girls High School State Swimming and Diving Championship. Castle finished 13th overall while scoring 50 points at the meet. Castle competed well across the board. The 200 Medley Relay, consisting of Brown, Porter, Wilson and Wilhite finished 14th and the 200 Free Relay of Porter, Haerle, Treski and Wilson finished 17th. The 400 Free Relay swam well in prelims and finals, but was unable to place in finals due to a DQ. Individually, Whitney Brown came away with a 6th place finish in the 100 Free, and a 7th place finish in the 100 back. Kaitlyn Porter swam two individual events in finals too, earning a 5th place finish in the 100 Fly and a 14th place finish in the 200IM. Hannah Haerle swam a pair of individual events, grapping a 15th place finish in the 100 Breast and a 24th place finish in the 200IM respectively. To round out the individual events, Krislyn Porter finished with a 19th place finish in the 200 Free and a 20th place finish in the 100 breast, while Callie Wilhite received a 25th place finish in the 50 Free and a 23rd place finish in the 100 Free. On the diving side Colleen Ray made the semi-final round in diving finishing 19th out of 32 divers, scoring a total of 263.25 points. Go Knights!
