On Tuesday night at Central, the Girls Track and Field team competed in the Regional meet. Seven athletes earned their way through to the State Finals. The team will be represented in four events in Indianapolis next Friday. The 1600 meter relay team of Jalyn Zaccardelli, Sophia Mominee, Bella Cunningham, and Brooklyn Lutz won the regional championship. The 400 meter relay team of Zaccardelli, Cunningham, Aislynn Maldonado, and Lyla Detalente finished in second place to also earn their way through. Individually, the Lady Knights had two athletes finish in third place in their event to also advance. Brooklyn Lutz took third place in the 400 meter dash, while Izabell Grantz took third in the Shot Put. Overall, the team finished in third place.
