Castle JV Football Defeats Evansville North 40–20 Castle’s JV football team turned in a strong performance Monday night, defeating Evansville North by a score of 40–20. The Knights’ offense was led by sophomore quarterback Sawyer Winsett, who threw for 225 yards on 9 completions out of 14 attempts. Winsett connected for 4 passing touchdowns, showcasing efficiency and command of the offense. His top target was sophomore wide receiver Jaivon Aunspach, who made the most of his opportunities with 3 receptions for 140 yards and 3 touchdowns, including multiple explosive plays that stretched the field. On the ground, sophomore running back Aaron “Mo” Smith delivered a dominant performance, rushing 14 times for 188 yards. Smith found the end zone twice and also converted two 2-point attempts to keep the Knights in control. With a balanced offensive attack and strong execution, Castle secured the victory and continues to build momentum this season. The Knights’ JV squad will be back in action on Saturday, August 30th, at 9:00 AM, when they take on the Mater Dei Wildcats at John Lidy Field.
